Psalm 36: Seeing Through Darkness and Going to the Light
GK611 Morning Devotion
22/08/2024
The Morning Devotion Speaker: IPs Asher

Introduction: The absence of light

1. The Godless are swallowed by darkness

1. Godless eyes, lack of awe (v.1)
2. Boasting and flattering oneself, losing the truth (v.2)
3. Deceitful words, destroy relationships (v.3)
4. Planning evil things, never getting tired of it (v.4)

When a person does not have God in his eyes, he becomes self-centered and is gradually swallowed up by darkness. People without light walking in darkness will inevitably be trapped without knowing it. David calls such people wicked because they not only ignore God but also boast and flatter themselves, rationalizing their own weakness and sinful nature. They bury their heads in the sand like ostriches, refusing to face God’s truth and instead indulging their own desires. What’s even more frightening is that they go beyond that and even use deceitful words to hurt others and take pleasure in planning evil things. This lifestyle ultimately leads to broken relationships and self-destruction.

2. Those who have God see God’s goodness

1. Loving and faithful (v.5)
2. Righteous judgment (v.6)
3. Rescue provision (v.7-8)
4. Light and Life (v.9)

Faced with the sins of evil men, David did not indulge in resentment or self-pity. Instead, he turned his attention to the goodness of God. He chose to praise God for His love, faithfulness, righteousness, judgment, and provision. He was also convinced that only God is light, and only in Him can light be seen.

God’s nature is like the love of heaven and the grace of the sea, full of endless riches. Anyone who seeks Him can find protection and satisfaction, and enjoy the sweetness and bright guidance of life. By knowing Him, people of God can not only be renewed, but also become channels of blessing to others.

3. Those who have received the light can see through the difficulties before them.

1. Pray for your enemies and live out love (v.10)
2. Believe that God is in control amidst difficulties (v.11-12)

People who know God can see their enemies and the difficulties before them in a different light because they have received light. David prayed that God would give mercy and justice to the upright, and he also called on Him to cause the wicked to stumble. A man of God does not repay evil with evil but is willing to intercede for his enemies and respond to harm with love. Light enables us to firmly believe in God’s control in difficult situations, to overcome fear with faith, and to overcome evil with good. Such people are like lights in the world, living out the testimony of the tree of life and becoming a blessing to those around them.

Conclusion: Where there is light, where there are trees, there is a road

People who belong to God must first be alert and avoid becoming people who are godless and walk in darkness; secondly, they must know the goodness of God and be rooted in His love, righteousness, and light; and finally, they must live an abundant life. Learn to respond to enemies with love, face challenges with faith, and walk out on the bright road. May each of us be able to see through the darkness and move towards the light in the light of God!

Psalm 35: From Opposition to Victory
GK611 Morning Devotion
21/08/2024
The Morning Devotion Speaker: Ps Stella

Introduction: The Story of the Old Tailor

I. Crying Out for God’s Justice (v1-10)

1. Seeking God’s Help (v1-3)

David brings his plight directly before God, asking Him to fight on his behalf and praying for the defeat of his enemies. His faith stems from knowing that God is his ultimate protector. Aware of his own weakness, David relies on God to fight for him.

2. Trusting in God’s Justice (v4-8)

David prays for the wicked to face the consequences of their actions and “fall into their own net.” This reflects his trust in God’s justice. When faced with injustice, we should entrust vengeance to God and not let anger lead us into sin.

3. Rejoicing in God’s Deliverance (v9-10)

Despite his difficult circumstances, David already sees God’s deliverance. This demonstrates his deep faith in God.

Summary:

When faced with injustice and opposition in life, many instinctively try to resolve issues on their own. However, David teaches us to bring accusations and grievances before God, the source of all justice.

II. Responding with Trust and Forgiveness (v11-18)

David describes the falsehood and malice of his enemies, who repay his kindness and love with evil. Yet, despite this, he chooses to trust God, believing that He will administer righteous judgment.

David’s experience reminds us that when facing betrayal or malice, we should not let hatred consume us. Instead, we must choose forgiveness and trust in God. Even when others repay evil for good, we should follow Christ’s example and respond with love.

III. Confident in the Manifestation of Justice (v19-28)

1. Praying for God to Silence the Mockers (v19-21)

David describes the mocking and deceit of his enemies, praying that God will not allow them to triumph. He declares that God’s justice will ultimately bring victory, as God will not let the wicked prevail forever.

2. Calling for God’s Fair Judgment (v22-25)

David knows that God sees all things, even before they occur, and will not abandon those He loves. When we truly regard God as our Lord and Savior, we can trust that He will not allow the enemy to boast over us. Thus, we must believe in God’s justice, which will surely be revealed in His perfect timing.

3. Praising God’s Justice (v26-28)

David concludes his prayer with praise, confident that God will bring shame upon the wicked and cause the righteous to rejoice. God’s justice will never be delayed. It will be accomplished according to His timetable. During the waiting process, we must bear witness to His faithfulness with faith and hope.

Conclusion:

•Believe that God is the only source of justice.
•Do not let hatred take root in your heart; choose love and forgiveness.
•Praise God as you wait for His work and bear witness to His victory.

Psalm 34: Taste and See That the Lord is Good
GK611 Morning Devotion
20/08/2024
The Morning Devotion Speaker: Ps Deborah

Introduction: Is it just luck?

In the valleys or difficulties of life, when things suddenly turn around, do you attribute the change to “luck”?

Psalm 34:1 recounts David acting madness before Abimelech, which resulted in his escape. From a human perspective, it might seem like a dramatic stroke of luck that David escaped King Achish of Gath. However, David recognized it was not mere luck but God’s mercy. If not for God’s compassion, no act of pretending madness could have saved him if the king had resolved to kill him as revenge for Goliath. In gratitude and testimony to God, David composed this psalm, encouraging others to experience God’s abundant grace.

I. Praising God at All Times (v1–3)

After escaping, David returned to the cave of Adullam in Saul’s territory, a place still fraught with danger and hardship. Yet, knowing his deliverance was God’s protection, he humbly and joyfully praised the Lord.

Praise is one of the most powerful weapons God gives us to overcome the enemy. The enemy delights when we face challenges by relying on our own strength, wallowing in despair, or blaming God. But in verse 3, David invites others to exalt and praise God’s name together, for what he experienced is available to all!

Are you facing difficulties now? Let us open our hearts and joyfully proclaim:
“Lord, You are truly great. We exalt Your name together! Jehovah Jireh! Jehovah Nissi! You will lead us to victory.”
When we praise God like this, the oil of joy fills us.

II. Humble Dependence Leads to Radiance (v4–6)

David emphasizes that God hears the prayers of the humble and helpless, delivering His people from fear and trouble. To truly experience God’s salvation and the glory that keeps us from shame, we must humbly seek, look to, and call upon Him.

Not only in times of fear and trouble should we seek and call on God, but as blessed people, we must also look to Him continually in times of peace. The more we look to God, the less we focus on ourselves or the storms around us. This allows us to sail through life’s storms with peace, reflecting the glory of the Lord. (Let’s continue 40 days dreaming with God)

III. Experience God’s Goodness Personally (v8–14)

David urges us to “taste and see that the Lord is good” and become blessed by doing so.

Last year, when my family planned a trip to Japan, Sister Susie spoke highly of Hakone. She described its beauty: hot springs, enjoying tea and cake in cafes, and the view of Mount Fuji. Even Shimu testified it.

How could I truly experience Hakone’s beauty and hot springs? Only by choosing to go there myself. Similarly, how can we taste the goodness of the Lord and be blessed? Only by choosing to:

1. Live a Life of Trusting God (v8)

The goodness of the Lord is reserved for those who actively seek, trust, and yearn to experience Him.
Many times, we neglect closeness with God due to work or busyness, causing us to miss His goodness and remain shallow in our knowledge of Him. Let us cultivate a life of trust and longing for God, becoming people who daily experience His goodness. Don’t be like me, who didn’t take actions in pursuing Hakone and till today, the beauty of Hakone is only an imagination in my mind.

Let us live a life that trust and seek the Lord and truly experience His goodness.

2. Uphold Reverence for God (v7, 9–14)

David reminds us that those who revere God will lack nothing good.

We uphold reverence for God in these ways:

A. Speak Words of Grace (v. 13a): Beyond refraining from evil speech, God’s children should
exceed this basic requirement by speaking graciously. Without grace, our words can easily turn harmful.

B. Be Honest and Sincere (v. 13b): Deceptive lips stem from a corrupt heart. Do we fall into false worship, feigned obedience, or rationalize our mistakes? Do we hide facts in business, exploit legal loopholes, or use half-truths to mislead others?

C. Turn from Evil and Do Good (v. 14a): Not only should we avoid evil, but we must actively pursue goodness, caring for the marginalized.

D. Seek and Pursue Peace (v. 14b–c): God’s children should strive for peace, helping resolve conflicts with perseverance and consistency.

E. Pursue persistently (v. 14c): At last, David reminds us that we should pursue God with a reverent and persistent heart until it becomes our second nature.

IV. God Watches Over the Righteous (v15–22)

1. God’s Grace for the Righteous:

God, as a loving Father, watches over the righteous in both joy and trials.

2. God’s Judgment on the Wicked:

The wicked, estranged from God, face His wrath and ultimate destruction, ensnared by their own deeds.

May we all rely on Him always and live a blessed and righteous life.

Conclusion: Live as Witnesses of God’s Goodness

Psalm 34 reminds us that life’s turning points are not luck but God’s grace. Having tasted God’s goodness, let us not remain idle but live as witnesses, drawing others to “taste and see that the Lord is good.”

Book of Jeremiah 52

Jeremiah 52 The hope of tearing down and rebuilding
GK611 Morning Devotion
19/11/2024
The Morning Devotion Speaker: Ps Daniel

Introduction:

Although the last chapter of Jeremiah, Chapter 52, is full of scenes of judgment and destruction, it also demonstrates God’s mercy and grace after judgment. Let us see how, behind the brokenness and demolition, God has prepared the hope of restoration for His people.

1. The prophecy of God’s judgment comes true (V1-11)

This passage first shows us that God’s judgment on the nation of Judah has come true. King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon came and captured Jerusalem, burning the temple and taking the people captive. Zedekiah’s impenitence not only brought the destruction of him and his family, but also plunged the entire country into God’s judgment.

Today, God is also calling us to repent. We may have experienced “barrier” in some places, some parts are broken, have we sensed God’s warning? Are we rejecting God’s reminders and calls? Refusal to repent will only bring destruction!

2. God’s judgment contains grace (V12-23)

This passage records the destruction of the temple, city walls, and palaces, and the robbery of temple utensils. But God still has grace after judgment, and the instruments in the temple were not completely destroyed but were taken to Babylon until the day when God visited the Israelites (Jeremiah 27:21-22). The survival of the vessels foreshadowed later reconstruction and restoration.

‘Destruction and overthrow’ are not God’s ultimate plan, but His process of bringing about restoration. Just like a gardener pruning branches and leaves to help plants grow better, God’s judgment contains grace and hope. So, when we face demolition in our lives, don’t despair, but turn your eyes to God and believe that He will accomplish a better plan!

3. Three times captured, broken and rebellious (V24-30)

This part records the tragedy of Judah being taken captive to Babylon three times. This is not only the process of a broken country, but also the result of God’s desire to break the disobedience of the people. However, these three captivities actually represent God’s patient judgment process, giving people opportunities to repent again and again.

‘Three Captivity’ reminds us of the price of disobedience. God’s judgment is not partial, and neither kings nor nobles nor ordinary people can escape. But there is hope in the brokenness. When people are willing to repent, God is still a God full of mercy; God’s judgment is not to punish, but to turn us back.

4. Planting and reconstruction after demolition (V31-34)

The end of the book of Jeremiah records that King Jehoiachin of Judah was released after 37 years of captivity and was even brought to dine at the king of Babylon’s table, which he did for the rest of his life. This shows that after judgment and destruction, God still has a plan of restoration. God still provides opportunities for restoration and revival for those who repent.

We can also be renewed after experiencing brokenness because God does not just tear down, His ultimate purpose is to rebuild. In our moments of brokenness, God is also preparing us for a new beginning. His grace always transcends our understanding, often making a way out for us where we least expect it, if only we know how to repent!

Conclusion:

Jeremiah 52 is not the end of tragedy, but the beginning of God’s grace. God uproots and tears down, but the ultimate goal is to plant and establish deeper and more beautiful things. Let us see the tree of life that God wants to plant in the uprooting of life! Even when we experience brokenness, God will lead us toward restoration, and every restoration carries His grace!

Book of Jeremiah 51

Jeremiah Chapter 51: Dreams with God—Breaking Away from the Waves of the World
GK611 Morning Devotion
15/11/2024
The Morning Devotion Speaker: Ps Asher

Introduction: When the tide goes out…

1. Be careful not to resist God (V1-5)

Through Jeremiah Chapter 51, verse 1, Jehovah mentioned “Leb Kamai”, which means “the hearts of those who rise up against me,” directly pointing out Babylon’s arrogant attitude away from God. Leb Kamai was used by God to typify those forces that resist His will, which are the pride, power, and corruption of the world. When God determined to judge Babylon, He declared that no matter how powerful these forces were, they would not be able to oppose Him. Verses 3-4 mention that Babylon is about to be completely destroyed, and both the palace and the soldiers will fall. Even though Israel and Judah had sinned many times, God still did not abandon His people. His grace always flashed through them, showing that salvation was a sovereign grant of God.

2. Break away from the world and seek refuge in God (V6-10)

Babylon is described as an intoxicating “golden cup” (verse 7), symbolizing the prosperity and temptation of the world. It looks attractive on the outside, but is actually empty on the inside, making people fall into intoxication and eventually be swallowed up by it. God reminds His people to “flee quickly” (verse 6) because the end of this world is coming. God does not want His people to be lost in temporary pleasures. He wants them to seek His eternal glory.

3. Make every effort to aim at Almighty God (Jeremiah 51:11-33)

(1) God will avenge his temple (V11-14)

God’s declaration of vengeance for His house shows that He will not tolerate blasphemy and that His will shall be accomplished. Babylon was judged for destroying the temple of God.

(2) God is the only Creator (V15-19)

God created all things with all his wisdom and power. Although Babylon was dominant for a while, it was eventually destroyed by God because God did not give glory to idols.

(3) God can crush everything (V20-26)

God uses Babylon to impose judgment as “a hammer over the whole earth,” but Babylon itself will eventually be crushed because it “repays people according to their deeds.”

(4) Prosperity and destruction belong to God (V27-33)

The rise and fall of Babylon were controlled by God. Only when God controls all powers can His people be secure.

4. Let God avenge you (V34-37)

God saw how Babylon was oppressing His people, and He personally avenged them. God never ignores the suffering of His people. No matter how many evil forces suppress them, God will take action at the appropriate time to bring justice to them. The destruction of Babylon showed that God would not tolerate evil and that His justice would prevail.

5. Be careful not to indulge in the world (V38-44)

The end of Babylon is described here, and God will judge the enemies who devoured His inheritance. Jeremiah writes, “in their excitement” (V 39), foreshadowing Babylon’s final indulgence and revelry before its imminent destruction. These kings and ministers indulged in pleasure, but ultimately ended up being “like lambs, like rams with male goats to the slaughter” (V 40). In modern life, we are often attracted by the “wave” around us, constantly chasing material comfort, reputation and social status. Many people neglect spiritual life because of social “trends” and even sacrifice long-term happiness for short-term happiness.

6. Be brave and trust in Jehovah (V45-53)

Verses 45-53 again call on the people to flee Babylon, and Jeremiah exhorts them: “lest your heart faint” and “do not stand still.” This exhortation shows that we must be brave enough to trust God and quickly obey His leading as the world collapses, because Babylon will soon be judged and will no longer exist. God gave the people a special sign: when the enemies of Babylon “come to her from the north,” it is time to “escaped the sword, get away! Do not stand still.”

Conclusion: God’s righteous judgment and final victory (V54-64)

“Dream with God—Escape from the Waves of the World” reminds us to give up attachment and dependence on the world and choose to put our faith and hope entirely in God. The destruction of Babylon symbolizes the eventual collapse of all systems that do not fear God, and those who choose to walk with God and be loyal to Him will enter His eternal kingdom through faith.

Book of Jeremiah 50

Jeremiah Chapter 50: Avoid Following in Babylon’s Footsteps
GK611 Morning Devotion
14/11/2024
The Morning Devotion Speaker: Ps Deborah

Introduction: Rightfully so

Learn life lessons from God’s judgment on Babylon, to avoid following in its footsteps:

1. Stay Away from Idolatry (V1-3)

Bel, meaning “lord,” is also a title for Merodach, a name given to Marduk, the primary deity of Babylon. God told Jeremiah to openly proclaim to all nations that He would use Persia and Media to judge Babylon. When judgment arrives, their idols will be put to shame and dismay. The strength and prosperity they once knew will vanish, leaving behind a desolate land where people and livestock flee.

God’s judgment on Babylon reminds us once again to avoid idol worship, especially the idols in our hearts. We should frequently examine ourselves, striving to place God at the forefront of our lives.

2. Return to God’s Eternal Covenant (V4-6)

God said that even though His people had become lost sheep due to the wrong guidance of their shepherds (kings, priests, leaders), after 70 years in exile, they would return to His eternal covenant. The ever-faithful God would lead them back into a life-giving connection with Himself.

God’s calling is irrevocable. Even if we go astray and make a mess of our lives—like the Israelites, who forgot they were God’s covenant people—the God who keeps His promises still loves us deeply. Therefore, we must turn back to Him.

3. Live as Pilgrims in the World, Not of the World (V8-10)

In Jeremiah’s time, Babylon was the world’s beacon of strength and hope. For those exiled there, it might have been easy to assimilate and accept Babylonian culture. Yet God, through the prophet, reminded them they did not belong to Babylon; they were only temporary residents. Not only should they reject Babylon’s culture, but they were also to lead others to flee the center of sin and return to Zion, God’s promised land for them.

We are also pilgrims in this world. What are we packing in our “travel bags”—worldly goods, pleasures, or God’s mission, the fruits of the Spirit, and heavenly hope?

4. The Spiritual Law of Sowing and Reaping (V11-15)

Babylon rejoiced in taking God’s people captive. But God declares in v.15 that just as Babylon oppressed, plundered, and destroyed other nations, it will receive the same in judgment. This is the spiritual law of sowing and reaping—what one sows, one also reaps.

What fruits do we want to see in our lives? If we desire the fruits of the Spirit, then we must live and treat others in accordance with the truth.

5. Favor through Submitting to Discipline (V16-20, 33-34)

Carmel, Bashan, and Gilead are all fertile lands suitable for grazing.
God reminds His people that He is their mighty Redeemer. He promises to intervene personally, bringing His people back to these fertile lands, tending to them anew. In v.20, God promises that on the day of their restoration, He will completely forgive the sins of Israel and Judah, restoring their former glory and prosperity.

This is the great favor granted to those who submit to God’s discipline. After going through refinement, they can be cleansed and restored to a close relationship with Him.

These two days are for healing and deliverance. God is giving His favor to the brothers and sisters participating, so as long as they come to God earnestly, acknowledging all their sins, God will eradicate all sins, wounds, shame, idolatry, and evil spirits from the womb to today. Their lives will be like a blank sheet, ready for a renewed, intimate relationship with God.

6. Humility, Not Striving or Arrogance (V21-32)

Daniel 3 records Nebuchadnezzar’s 60-cubit tall and 6-cubit wide golden statue, which everyone was commanded to worship. This statue represented the authority and status of the Babylonian empire and Nebuchadnezzar’s desire for others’ reverence and obedience. Babylon, originally God’s tool for judging nations, became prideful, even challenging God’s sovereignty. Consequently, God would “cut it down,” leaving it desolate.

Furthermore, they crossed a line, not only taking the people of Israel captive but also burning down Jerusalem. God declared that Babylon’s arrogance against Him, the Holy One of Israel, warranted His vengeance.

When Nebuchadnezzar destroyed the temple, he stored its vessels in his treasury. Yet King Belshazzar’s arrogance led him to use the temple vessels to drink wine and praise idols (Daniel 5). This blatant desecration of God resulted in a vision of a hand writing on the wall, terrifying Belshazzar, whose countenance changed. That night, Belshazzar was killed, and the Neo-Babylonian Empire fell to Persia.

We need a humble heart to revere God, relinquishing pride and control, heeding God’s warnings, not replacing His role or profaning His holiness.

7. The Sovereignty of Judgment Belongs to God (V35-46)

This lengthy passage speaks of God’s severe judgment on Babylon. Ultimately, God will strip away all its power. In v.44, four rhetorical “who” statements make clear that the authority of judgment lies with God. To escape judgment, one must repent.

From Jeremiah’s prophecy to Babylon’s fall was a span of about 50 years. Had Babylon humbled itself and turned back, it might have retained a place on the world map. Sadly, it ignored these prophecies, bringing about its utter destruction.
God’s children are called to live reverently, entrusting their lives fully to God, accepting His plans, and living a life of repentance to uphold His word and bear testimony to His glory.

Conclusion:

Babylon’s wealth and strength led to pride and cruelty, which ultimately resulted in God’s severe judgment. Today, let us thank God for what Singapore has and pray that He keeps us vigilant, watching over Singapore and its leaders, that our nation may continue to walk deeply in His will.

As God’s children, we are also called to live lives worthy of salvation. When God’s discipline comes upon the earth, it will tremble, but His children will stand firm, trusting in His sovereignty. May we all be willing to face and accept discipline with humility so that we can experience the abundant promises and blessings of His covenant.

Jeremiah Chapter 49: God’s Discipline and Promise
GK611 Morning Devotion
13/11/2024
The Morning Devotion Speaker: Ps Stella

Introduction: God as the Ruler of Nations

I. The Greed of the Ammonites (V1-6)

The Ammonites, like the Moabites, were descendants of Lot, Abraham’s nephew, sharing a kinship with Israel. However, from the time of the Judges, they often fought against Israel, with David, Jehoshaphat, and Jotham engaging in battles with them. After the tribe of Gad was taken captive by Assyria, the Ammonites seized the land of Gad in the west, not realizing that the descendants of the exiled would one day reclaim their inheritance. This act revealed their greed and disregard for God.

Although the Ammonites were punished for their greed, verse 6 shows that God promised their return. This demonstrates that God is not only a righteous judge but also merciful, offering restoration to those who genuinely repent, even if they have done wrong.

II. The Pride and Downfall of Edom (V7-22)

1. Edom’s False Security (V7-16)

Because of their mountainous terrain, Edom became proud, thinking no one could penetrate their strongholds. However, God pointed out that their pride was in vain; no mountain could shield them from His judgment. This teaches that relying too heavily on one’s own strengths can cause one to overlook weaknesses and ignore God’s power.

Often, we may think we can rely on ourselves, but we are always within God’s control. God sometimes uses life’s setbacks to remind us to remain humble and depend on His guidance. Our sense of security should not rest on material possessions or status but on God.

2. Edom as a Symbol of Desolation (V17-22)

Due to their pride, Edom faced God’s judgment, becoming a symbol of desolation. This is not only a warning for Edom but for all those who harbor arrogance. God’s justice is not to be underestimated; pride leads to destruction. Edom’s example reminds us that only by living humbly under God’s sovereignty can we avoid unnecessary loss.

In our daily lives, we can cultivate humility, especially in times of success, remembering that all achievements are by God’s grace. We should treat others kindly, avoid looking down on them, and refrain from pride due to outward success.

III. The Indifference of Damascus (V23-27)

Damascus was an international metropolis, a major trade center in ancient times connecting Mesopotamia, Egypt, and Asia Minor. Known for its strength and prosperity, it grew indifferent in its luxury, drifting from God and disregarding His will, living in a false sense of peace. Jeremiah warned that such indifference would ultimately lead to destruction.

Indifference distances us from God and others. Therefore, we should have a sensitive heart, mindful of God’s will, and care for those around us, so that indifference does not erode our love for God and others.

IV. The Self-Reliance of Kedar and Hazor (V28-33)

The people of Kedar and Hazor, being nomadic, believed they could resist any enemy through their own strength and geographical advantage. Yet, through Jeremiah’s prophecy, God told them that those who rely solely on their strength would ultimately find themselves powerless.

Thus, we should not place our confidence in our own strength but instead rely on God’s guidance. Those who trust in God find strength in weakness and help in times of trouble.

V. The Hope of Elam Amid Suffering (V34-39)

In God’s judgment on Elam, there is also mercy. While they would face punishment, God promised to eventually restore them. God’s judgments always carry mercy, with new hope for those who repent.

God’s judgment aims to bring us to repentance, His punishment imbued with love. Even when we do wrong, God prepares restoration and new hope, desiring our return to the right path and a better future.

Conclusion: Humbling Ourselves Before God to Gain True Life

Through these prophecies, God helps us understand that His justice and mercy are unwavering. He is not a distant judge but a loving Father who desires our repentance and return to Him.

Let us, in every decision of life, abandon reliance on our strength, letting go of pride, and come humbly before God. For true hope is not in worldly things but in the God who loves and guides us. May we find true stability in God’s love and live a life that pleases Him.
