(耶和华的仆人大卫的诗,交与伶长。当耶和华救他脱离一切仇敌和扫罗之手的日子,他向耶和华
念这诗的话。说:)
1 耶和华我的力量啊,我爱你。
2 耶和华是我的岩石,我的山寨,我的救主,我的神,我的磐石,我所投靠的。他是我的盾牌,是
拯救我的角,是我的高台。
3 我要求告当赞美的耶和华。这样我必从仇敌手中被救出来。
4 曾有死亡的绳索缠绕我。匪类的急流使我惊惧。
5 阴间的绳索缠绕我。死亡的网罗临到我。
6 我在急难中求告耶和华,向我的神呼求。他从殿中听了我的声音,我在他面前的呼求入了他的耳
中。
7 那时因他发怒,地就摇撼战抖,山的根基也震动摇撼。
8 从他鼻孔冒烟上腾,从他口中发火焚烧。连炭也着了。
9 他又使天下垂,亲自降临。有黑云在他脚下。
10 他坐着基路伯飞行。他借着风的翅膀快飞。
11 他以黑暗为藏身之处,以水的黑暗,天空的厚云,为他四围的行宫。
12 因他面前的光辉,他的厚云行过。便有冰雹火炭。
13 耶和华也在天上打雷。至高者发出声音,便有冰雹火炭。
14 他射出箭来,使仇敌四散。多多发出闪电,使他们扰乱。
15 耶和华啊,你的斥责一发,你鼻孔的气一出,海底就出现,大地的根基也显露。
16 他从高天伸手抓住我。把我从大水中拉上来。
17 他救我脱离我的劲敌,和那些恨我的人。因为他们比我强盛。
18 我遭遇灾难的日子,他们来攻击我。但耶和华是我的倚靠。
19 他又领我到宽阔之处。他救拔我,因他喜悦我。
20 耶和华按着我的公义报答我,按着我手中的清洁赏赐我。
21 因为我遵守了耶和华的道,未曾作恶离开我的神。
22 他的一切典章常在我面前。他的律例我也未曾丢弃。
23 我在他面前作了完全人。我也保守自己远离我的罪孽。
24 所以耶和华按我的公义,按我在他眼前手中的清洁,偿还我。
25 慈爱的人,你以慈爱待他。完全的人,你以完全待他。
26 清洁的人,你以清洁待他。乖僻的人,你以弯曲待他。

27 困苦的百姓,你必拯救。高傲的眼目,你必使他降卑。
28 你必点着我的灯。耶和华我的神必照明我的黑暗。
29 我借着你冲入敌军,借着我的神跳过墙垣。
30 至于神,他的道是完全的。耶和华的话是炼净的。凡投靠他的,他便作他们的盾牌。
31 除了耶和华,谁是神呢?除了我们的神,谁是磐石呢?
32 惟有那以力量束我的腰,使我行为完全的,他是神。
33 他使我的脚快如母鹿的蹄,又使我在高处安稳。
34 他教导我的手能以争战,甚至我的膀臂能开铜弓。
35 你把你的救恩给我作盾牌。你的右手扶持我。你的温和使我为大。
36 你使我脚下的地步宽阔。我的脚未曾滑跌。
37 我要追赶我的仇敌,并要追上他们。不将他们灭绝,我总不归回。
38 我要打伤他们,使他们不能起来。他们必倒在我的脚下。
39 因为你曾以力量束我的腰,使我能争战。你也使那起来攻击我的,都服在我以下。
40 你又使我的仇敌在我面前转背逃跑,叫我能以剪除那恨我的人。
41 他们呼求,却无人拯救,就是呼求耶和华,他也不应允。
42 我捣碎他们,如同风前的灰尘,倒出他们,如同街上的泥土。
43 你救我脱离百姓的争竞,立我作列国的元首。我素不认识的民必事奉我。
44 他们一听见我的名声,就必顺从我。外邦人要投降我。
45 外邦人要衰残,战战兢兢地出他们的营寨。
46 耶和华是活神。愿我的磐石被人称颂。愿救我的神被人尊崇。
47 这位神,就是那为我伸冤,使众民服在我以下的。
48 你救我脱离仇敌。又把我举起,高过那些起来攻击我的。你救我脱离强暴的人。
49 耶和华啊,因此我要在外邦中称谢你,歌颂你的名。
50 耶和华赐极大的救恩给他所立的王,施慈爱给他的受膏者,就是给大卫和他的后裔,直到永远。

1 耶和华啊,求你听闻公义,侧耳听我的呼吁。求你留心听我这不出于诡诈嘴唇的祈祷。
2 愿我的判语从你面前发出。愿你的眼睛观看公正。
3 你已经试验我的心。你在夜间鉴察我。你熬炼我,却找不着什么。我立志叫我口中没有过失。
4 论到人的行为,我借着你嘴唇的言语,自己谨守,不行强暴人的道路。
5 我的脚踏定了你的路径,我的两脚未曾滑跌。
6 神啊,我曾求告你,因为你必应允我。求你向我侧耳,听我的言语。
7 求你显出你奇妙的慈爱来。你是那用右手拯救投靠你的,脱离起来攻击他们的人。
8 求你保护我,如同保护眼中的瞳人。将我隐藏在你翅膀的荫下,
9 使我脱离那欺压我的恶人,就是围困我,要害我命的仇敌。
10 他们的心被脂油包裹。他们用口说骄傲的话。
11 他们围困了我们的脚步。他们瞪着眼,要把我们推倒在地。
12 他像狮子急要抓食,又像少壮狮子蹲伏在暗处。
13 耶和华啊,求你起来,前去迎敌,将他打倒。用你的刀救护我命脱离恶人。
14 耶和华啊,求你用手救我脱离世人,脱离那只在今生有福分的世人。你把你的财宝充满他们的肚
腹。他们因有儿女就心满意足,将其余的财物留给他们的婴孩。
15 至于我,我必在义中见你的面。我醒了的时候,得见(见或作着)你的形像,就心满意足了。

【三‘敢’:敢问、敢听、敢跟】

引言:条款及细则

一、敢问敢听却不敢跟 (V1-7)

在上一章,百姓向耶利米请求带领他们寻求神的心意,希望在混乱与不安的局势中找到安全之道。十天后,神借着耶利米清楚指示他们不要逃往埃及,而是继续留在犹大地,依靠神的保护。然而,百姓却因神的回答不符合他们的预期,转而怀疑耶利米的忠诚,甚至指责他受巴录的操控,故意传达他们不想听的答案。

百姓的逻辑是,留在犹大太冒险了,若前往埃及,则能暂时避开巴比伦的压迫,掌握“自主权”。他们所追求的是表面上的安全,而非真正依靠神的应许。因此,他们的“不敢跟”是因为自身的骄傲和局限,无法看见神的智慧和保守的指引。这种不信和骄傲让他们选择怀疑耶利米,并以巴录为“替罪羊”,掩盖自己拒绝神指引的行为。

有时,我们也会请求神的引导,但若神的回答不符合我们预期,我们可能会质疑神或执意按自己的想法行事。这提醒我们真正的信心不仅在于敢于祈求,更在于敢于顺服神的回应。

二、不敢跟的后果自负 (V8-13)

尽管百姓决定逃往埃及,但神的审判并没有因他们的逃离而改变。耶利米在埃及继续传达神的信息,预言巴比伦将会攻打埃及,埃及也将面临刀剑、掳掠和死亡。神的权柄超越了地理边界,祂的审判不会因人逃避而改变。百姓的“不敢跟”不仅未能为他们带来平安,反而让他们在远离神的地方面临更加严厉的审判。

有些人以为换一个环境就能摆脱问题,或认为逃避就能避开后果。好比一位学生因成绩不好而选择转校,心想换个地方就能有新开始。然而,他并没有努力改正自己的学习态度和方法,结果在新环境中依旧表现不佳。问题的根源不在环境,而在于自己的态度和行为。逃避并不能解决问题,反而可能让我们面对更大的困境。

总结:打碎骄傲与不信,谦卑依靠神的恩典事奉

神呼召我们不仅要敢问祂的心意,还要有勇气顺从祂的引导。这意味着,我们需要打破自我的框框,放下自我的骄傲,谦卑地依靠神的恩典而非自己的智慧行事。愿我们效法耶利米,不因环境或人的声音而偏离,真正做到“敢问、敢听、敢跟”,以此荣耀神的名。

Introduction:

1. Dare to ask, dare to listen but dare not follow (V1-7)

In the previous chapter, the people asked Jeremiah to lead them in seeking God’s will, hoping to find a way to safety amidst the chaos and unrest. Ten days later, God gave them clear instructions through Jeremiah not to flee to Egypt, but to remain in Judah and rely on God’s protection. However, because God’s answer did not meet their expectations, the people began to doubt Jeremiah’s loyalty and even accused him of being manipulated by Baruch and deliberately conveying answers they did not want to hear.

The people’s logic was that it was too risky to stay in Judah. If they went to Egypt, they could temporarily avoid Babylonian oppression and gain “autonomy.” They seek apparent security rather than true reliance on God’s promises. Therefore, their “dare not follow” is due to their own pride and limitations, and their inability to see God’s wisdom and protective guidance. This unbelief and pride made them choose to doubt Jeremiah and use Baruch as a “scapegoat” to cover up their rejection of God’s guidance.

Sometimes, we ask God for guidance, but if God’s answer does not meet our expectations, we may question God or insist on doing things according to our own ideas. This reminds us that true faith lies not only in daring to ask, but also in daring to obey God’s response.

2. Don’t dare to follow at your own risk (V8-13)

Although the people decided to flee to Egypt, God’s judgment did not change because of their escape. Jeremiah continued to convey God’s message in Egypt, predicting that Babylon would attack Egypt and that Egypt would also face sword, captivity, and death. God’s authority transcends geographical boundaries, and His judgment will not change because people evade it. The people’s “dare not follow” not only failed to bring them peace, but instead caused them to face more severe judgment in a place far away from God.

Some people think that they can get rid of the problem by changing the environment, or that they can avoid the consequences by running away. It’s like a student who chooses to change schools because of poor grades, thinking that he can have a new start in a different place. However, he made no effort to correct his learning attitude and methods, and as a result, he still performed poorly in the new environment. The root of the problem is not the environment, but your own attitudes and behaviours. Avoiding will not solve the problem but may make us face greater difficulties.

Conclusion: Break pride and unbelief, serve humbly and rely on God’s grace

God calls us not only to dare to ask His will, but also to have the courage to obey His guidance. This means we need to break out of our own egos, swallow our pride, and humbly rely on God’s grace rather than our own wisdom. May we imitate Jeremiah and not be deviated by the environment or people’s voices, and truly “dare to ask, dare to listen, and dare to follow”, thereby glorifying God’s name.

1 神啊,求你保佑我,因为我投靠你。
2 我的心哪,你曾对耶和华说,你是我的主。我的好处不在你以外。
3 论到世上的圣民,他们又美又善,是我最喜悦的。
4 以别神代替耶和华的(或作送礼物给别神的),他们的愁苦必加增。他们所浇奠的血我不献上,
我嘴唇也不提别神的名号。
5 耶和华是我的产业,是我杯中的分。我所得的你为我持守。
6 用绳量给我的地界,坐落在佳美之处。我的产业实在美好。
7 我必称颂那指教我的耶和华。我的心肠在夜间也警戒我。
8 我将耶和华常摆在我面前。因他在我右边,我便不至摇动。
9 因此我的心欢喜,我的灵(原文作荣耀)快乐。我的肉身也要安然居住。

【你岂不畏惧神?】

引言:

当巴比伦入侵,恐惧充满了犹太人的心,他们急切地求问神,希望得到指引。但当神的指引与他们的期待不一时,他们选择了无视神的警告,执意追求自己所谓的安全。这让我们反思自己是否在生活中只听自己想听的,而忽略了神的警告。

一、心口不一的百姓(V1-6)

犹太人在面对巴比伦入侵后的困境,怀着极大的恐惧,来到先知耶利米面前,请求他为他们向神祷告,并且表示无论神说什么,他们都会听从。然而,从后来的发展中我们可以看出,虽然他们口头上表达愿意顺服神的意愿,但内心却希望神支持他们自己的计划。

因此,敬畏神不仅仅表现在口头上的顺服,更在于内心的信靠和行动上的配合。

二、神的警告和应许(V7-17)

在耶利米祷告十天之后,神回应了犹太人。如果他们愿意留在犹大地,神将保护他们免于巴比伦王的手,并赐福他们。但如果他们不听从神的声音,反而逃往埃及以求得安全,他们将会遭遇神的怒气,战争、饥荒和瘟疫将会追随他们。

神总是引导祂的子民,希望我们留在祂的保护中。然而,当我们被恐惧和自我的判断所驱使时,很容易忽视神的应许,选择走自己认为更安全的道路。因此,我们在面对重大决策时,需要更多的信心来依靠神的应许,而不是依赖我们自己的计划。

三、不听从神的后果(V18-22)

犹太人表面上愿意遵行神的旨意,但心却一样没有听从。神警告犹太人,不论他们逃到哪里,灾难都会追随他们。实际上,他们的选择并不能带来他们渴望的安全,反而会加速他们的灭亡。

我们要知道,神的计划总是为了我们的益处,而我们的拒绝不仅是对神的不信,也是对祂救恩的背离。因此,当我们在生活中面对诱惑和选择时,要警醒,避免自以为是,走上与神旨意相反的道路。

总结:敬畏与顺服

敬畏神不仅仅是言语上的承诺或祷告中的虔诚,更是当我们面对不符合自己期望的神的引导时,依然选择顺服。愿我们不要轻忽神的警告,勇敢地顺服祂的引导。因为唯有在敬畏与顺服中,我们才能找到真正的平安。

Introduction:

When Babylon invaded, fear filled the hearts of the Jews, and they urgently sought guidance from God. Yet, when God’s guidance did not match their expectations, they chose to ignore His warning, insisting on their own idea of security. This reflection prompts us to consider whether, in our own lives, we only listen to what we want to hear, ignoring God’s warnings.

1. A People with Divided Hearts (V1–6)

Facing the crisis of Babylon’s invasion, the Jews, in great fear, came to the prophet Jeremiah, asking him to pray to God on their behalf and pledging to follow whatever God said. However, it became clear later that although they verbally expressed a willingness to obey, their hearts hoped that God would endorse their own plans.

Therefore, revering God is not merely about verbal commitment but about genuine trust and alignment of actions with His will.

2. God’s Warning and Promise (V7–17)

Ten days after Jeremiah prayed, God responded to the Jews. If they chose to stay in Judah, God promised to protect them from the hand of the king of Babylon and to bless them. However, if they ignored His voice and sought safety in Egypt instead, they would encounter God’s wrath, and war, famine, and plague would follow them.

God continually guides His people, desiring that we remain under His protection. Yet, driven by fear and our own judgment, we may easily overlook God’s promises and choose what seems safer. Thus, when faced with major decisions, we need faith to rely on God’s promises rather than on our own plans.

3. The Consequences of Disobedience (V18–22)

While the Jews appeared willing to obey God, their hearts were set on other plans. God warned that no matter where they fled, disaster would follow. Their choices would not bring the safety they longed for but would instead hasten their ruin.

We must remember that God’s plans are always for our good, and rejecting them not only reflects distrust but also turns away His salvation. When faced with temptations and choices in life, we must remain vigilant, avoiding self-deception and paths contrary to God’s will.

Conclusion: Reverence and Obedience

Revering God goes beyond verbal promises or fervent prayers; it means choosing to obey even when His guidance doesn’t align with our expectations. May we not take God’s warnings lightly but courageously follow His lead, for it is only through reverence and obedience that we can find true peace.

【罪恶的滚雪球效应】

一、罪恶的开始-心思起恶念(V1-3)

罪恶的雪球效应始于心中的恶念!以实玛利在和省长基大利一起吃饭时,带人将他杀害。其实,他早已计划要除掉基大利,心中的恶念就像雪球般越滚越大。

罪的开始往往源于我们心中的小小恶念。今天,我们可能轻视内心的怨恨和嫉妒,认为不会影响行为,但这些负面情绪一旦有机可乘,就会扩大,带来无法挽回的后果。我们要时刻检视动机,避免在负面情绪的驱使下,做出错误决定!

二、罪恶的扩散-杀害无辜者(V4-7)

紧接着罪恶的雪球继续滚大。以实玛利杀害了基大利之后,事情没有结束。他还杀害了从示剑、示罗、撒马利亚来献祭的无辜者。

罪恶的扩散性极强,往往会波及无辜的人。我们以为罪只关乎自己,但其实罪带来的损伤是不可控制的!也许是一个小小的谎言,却引发连锁反应,给周围人带来伤害。所以我们必须谨慎对待自己的行为,不要让罪继续扩散,避免伤害他人。

三、罪恶的破坏-恐惧和混乱(V8-10)

当罪恶滚到第三阶段,雪球的重量已经让大家感到恐惧和混乱。剩下的人们已经害怕到跪地求饶,告诉以实玛利:“别杀我们啊!我们有食物,有宝藏,我们给你!” 人们在恐惧中,不再考虑道德,只想着如何自保,彼此之间的信任和仁爱完全无存。

罪恶的破坏不仅停留在当事人,往往会制造无谓的恐惧和不安。罪恶会摧毁人心中的平安,破坏我们的社交圈,甚至让我们活在担心被‘揭发’的恐惧中。所以,不要让罪恶掌控我们的生活,以免失去原有的信任和平安。谨慎言行,不让罪有任何搅乱的机会。

四、罪恶的结局-失败和逃亡(V11-18)

最终,罪恶的雪球带来了失败和逃亡的结局。约哈难听闻以实玛利的暴行,迅速追击,以实玛利计划失败,狼狈逃往亚扪。约哈难救回了被掳之人,但因惧怕巴比伦报复,他们继续流亡,准备逃往埃及;他们的生活被以实玛利的罪恶破坏,彻底失去安宁。

罪恶不会带来满足,只会让人自食恶果,使生活充满逃避与失败。我们无法凭自己完全避免罪的影响,但可以依靠神的恩典。在诱惑面前,及时祷告求神帮助,远离罪恶的雪球效应。

总结:雪球虽会越滚越大,若停止它就会融化!

今天让我们警醒,别让罪恶在我们生命中开始滚动,及时停止那个最初的小雪球,靠着神的大能远离罪恶的效应!

1. The beginning of sin – evil thoughts in the mind (V1-3)

The snowball effect of sin begins with evil thoughts in the heart! While Ishmael was eating with the governor Gedaliah, he led his men to kill him. In fact, he had already planned to get rid of Gedaliah, and the evil thoughts in his heart were snowballing.

Sin often begins with small evil thoughts in our hearts. Today, we may downplay our inner resentment and jealousy and think that it will not affect our behaviour, but once these negative emotions are given the opportunity, they will expand and bring irreparable consequences. We must always check our motives to avoid making wrong decisions driven by negative emotions!

2. The spread of evil – killing innocent people (V4-7)

Then the snowball of sin continued to grow. Things did not end after Ishmael killed Gedaliah. He also killed innocent people who came from Shechem, Shiloh, and Samaria to offer sacrifices.

Evil is highly diffuse and often affects innocent people. We think that sin only concerns ourselves, but in fact the damage caused by sin is uncontrollable! It may be a small lie, but it triggers a chain reaction and brings harm to those around you. Therefore, we must be careful about our behaviour and not let sin continue to spread and avoid harming others.

3. The destruction of sin-fear and chaos (V8-10)

When the evil reaches the third stage, the weight of the snowball has made everyone feel fear and confusion. The remaining people were so frightened that they knelt down and begged for mercy, telling Ishmael: “Don’t kill us! We have food and treasures, and we will give them to you!” In fear, people no longer considered morality, but only thought about how to save themselves. Guaranteed, the trust and kindness between each other are completely gone.

The damage caused by sin does not only stop the person involved, but often creates unnecessary fear and uneasiness. Sin can destroy our peace of mind, destroy our social circles, and even cause us to live in fear of being ‘discovered’. So, don’t let sin take over our lives, lest you lose the trust and peace you already have. Be careful in your words and actions, and do not give sin any chance to cause trouble.

4. The ending of sin-failure and escape (V11-18)

In the end, the snowball of sin brought about the ending of failure and escape. Jehovah heard of Ishmael’s atrocities and quickly pursued him. Ishmael’s plan failed and he fled to Ammon in embarrassment. Johanan rescued the captives, but fearing Babylonian revenge, they continued to live in exile and prepared to flee to Egypt; their lives were ruined by Ishmael’s sin, and they completely lost their peace.

Sin does not bring satisfaction; it only makes people reap the consequences and makes life full of escape and failure. We cannot completely avoid the effects of sin on our own, but we can rely on God’s grace. In the face of temptation, pray for God’s help promptly and stay away from the snowball effect of sin.

Conclusion: Although the snowball will get bigger and bigger, if it stops, it will melt!

Let us be alert today, don’t let sin start rolling in our lives, stop the initial little snowball in time, and rely on the power of God to stay away from the effects of sin!

引言:电视机的天线

一、三‘对’的耶利米:蒙恩典得自由 (V1-6)

耶利米因着神的看顾,虽然经历国家的灭亡,却被巴比伦的官员释放。尽管他有机会前往更安稳的巴比伦,他却选择留在破败的犹大,与穷苦百姓同住。这是因为他心中记得神的应许——虽然神会拔除、拆毁,但最终祂会建立、栽植(耶利米书1:10)。因此,耶利米选择放弃个人的舒适与安全,留在犹大等待神的复兴。

耶利米先知听对了神的呼召,选对了与百姓同住的道路,跟对了神的旨意。有时我们也会面临选择:选择走一条更容易、更舒适的路,或是留在困境中帮助那些在需要中的人。就像耶利米,他选择了与那些被忽略和受压的人同在,这是他回应神的信心。

二、‘对不准’的基大利:提升中有破口 (V7-12)

基大利被巴比伦任命为犹大省长,他得到耶利米和逃亡军长们的支持,并鼓励他们留在犹大地,积蓄资源,服事巴比伦王。这似乎是一个重建的好机会,但他缺乏辨别危险的智慧,未能看到内部潜伏的威胁。

当我们在新的领导岗位上时,有时也会遇到挑战。基大利试图带领人们走向和平与重建,但忽视了潜在的反对力量,导致了他的灭亡。领导者不仅需要有远见,还需要有敏锐的洞察力。基大利选对了服从巴比伦、重建犹大的策略,但他没有听对提醒,也没有跟对神的指引,最终导致他的死亡和犹大的再次陷入混乱。

三、‘反对党’以实玛利:得破口得灾难(v13-16)

以实玛利是反对巴比伦的,他计划杀害基大利并联合埃及对抗巴比伦。这种选择违背了神通过耶利米所传递的信息。约哈难曾警告基大利关于以实玛利的计划,但基大利选择不相信,这直接导致了他被杀。

以实玛利没有听从神的呼召,选错了与埃及联合的立场,跟错了自己设计的反叛之路,最终导致了巨大的混乱和悲剧。他的选择是三“错”的典型:不听神的声音,选错方向,跟错了人。

总结:时时刻刻警醒,不做反对派

当我们听对、选对、跟对神的引导时,我们的生命将会得到神的祝福,并且成为他人的祝福。而当我们偏离神的道路,选择错误的立场时,结果将会带来混乱和毁灭。愿我们都能在每一个决定上依靠神,做出符合祂心意的选择,走在蒙福的道路上。

1. Three‘rights’of Jeremiah: set free by grace (V1-6)

Because of God’s care, Jeremiah experienced the destruction of his country but was released by Babylonian officials. Although he had the opportunity to travel to the safer Babylon, he chose to stay in dilapidated Judah and live among the poor people. This is because he remembers in his heart God’s promise that although God will uproot and tear down, in the end He will build up and plant (Jeremiah 1:10). Therefore, Jeremiah chose to give up his personal comfort and security and stay in Judah to await God’s restoration.

The prophet Jeremiah heard God’s call correctly, chose the right way to live with the people, and followed God’s will. Sometimes we are faced with a choice: choose to take an easier, more comfortable path, or stay in a difficult situation and help those in need. Like Jeremiah, he responded to God’s faith by choosing to be with the neglected and oppressed.

2. ‘Misaligned’Gedaliah: There are gaps in the ascension (V7-12)

Gedaliah was appointed governor of Judah by Babylon. He received the support of Jeremiah and the fleeing army commanders, and encouraged them to stay in Judah, accumulate resources, and serve the Babylonian king. This seemed like a good opportunity to rebuild, but he lacked the wisdom to discern danger and failed to see the threats lurking within.

When we are in new leadership positions, we sometimes encounter challenges. Gedaliah tried to lead the people toward peace and reconstruction, but ignored potential opposition, leading to his demise. Leaders need not only vision but also insight. Gedaliah chose the right strategy of obeying Babylon and rebuilding Judah, but he failed to listen to the right reminders and failed to follow God’s guidance, which ultimately led to his death and Judah’s fall into chaos again.

3. ‘Opposition Party’Ishmael: Get a breach and get disaster (v13-16)

Ishmael was anti-Babylonian and planned to kill Gedaliah and unite Egypt against Babylon. This choice goes against God’s message through Jeremiah. Johanan had warned Gedaliah about Ishmael’s plans, but Gedaliah chose not to believe it, which directly resulted in his death.

Ishmael failed to listen to God’s call, chose the wrong position to unite with Egypt, and followed the wrong path of rebellion that he designed, which ultimately led to huge chaos and tragedy. His choice is a typical example of the three “wrongs”: not listening to God’s voice, choosing the wrong direction, and following the wrong person.

Conclusion: Be vigilant at all times and do not be an opposition

When we listen to the right words, choose the right paths, and follow God’s guidance, our lives will be blessed by God, and we will be a blessing to others. However, when we stray from God’s path and choose the wrong stance, the result will be chaos and destruction. May we all rely on God in every decision, make choices that are in line with His heart, and walk on the path of blessing.

【不要后悔莫及】

引言:心愿石

一、死不悔改的后果(V1-9)

1. 家破国亡即被掳(V1-3,8-9)

尽管神40年里透过耶利米用尽各种方法,希望百姓能回转。但他们都把神的告诫当城耳边风,死不悔改。结果在西底家第9年10月,也就是主前588年,尼布甲尼撒率军攻打耶路撒冷。用了1年半的时间就将城墙攻破了。

经文的记载让我们再次看到神恒久忍耐的属性以外,也彰显了神的公义与信实。当百姓与君王死不悔改,公义与信实的神必会实行祂所说的审判。我相信当神实行审判时,还是出于爱与的恩慈。因为祂知道,如果让百姓不被管教,就会继续败坏下去,他们的结局是全部都灭亡。但在关键时刻施于管教,若他们愿意顺服听从,就算被掳,他们的性命必被存留,到了时候必要归回。

2.生不如死阶下囚(V4-7)

在昨天的38章,耶利米劝西底家投降。这样他和全家都必存活就必存活、圣城也不至被火焚烧。但他死不悔改,城被攻破时还依然故我的叛逆神的旨意。在夜间偷偷的出城,往亚拉巴逃去,想到摩押或亞扪去寻求庇护。结果被抓,经历了尼布甲尼撒残酷和悲惨的惩罚。他不但眼睛被剜出来还,更被铜炼锁着掳到巴比伦去。最惨的是在瞎眼前,他亲眼目睹他的亲信、贵胄和众子一个个的被杀。相信此刻他的心情应该是生不如死。

弟兄姐妹,让我们抓住每个生命被纠正,可以对齐神的机会。当权柄和牧者劝勉时,让我们不要充耳不闻。要回到神面前寻求。纵使我们觉得自己好像落在神的管教中也不要气馁。只要转向神,就有出路。千万不要选择不悔改而被仇敌掳掠或成为被困锁,生不如死的阶下囚。

此外,2千6百多年前关于耶路撒冷将要灭亡的预言,恶人和义人的命运的每个细节,都一一地照着神说的成就在历史中。 神是说有就有,命立就立的神。神口中所出的话必成就,决不徒然返回。祝福是这样、咒诅也是这样。而我们的结局是祝福或咒诅,就在乎我们的选择是什么?

二、蒙神纪念与施恩(v10-18)

1. 被欺压的得产业(V10)

表面上护卫长尼布撒拉旦是为了与没有地业的贫民建立友好关系和不让土地荒芜,把葡萄园和田地派给穷人管理。其实是公平公义的神看顾这群过去长期被同胞压榨、侵吞的穷苦人。他们终于得产业,有管理资产的机会。

在日常生活中,当面临不公平的待遇或感到被压迫时,要相信公义的神,在祂的时间里,会为我们伸张正义,赐下恩典。我们也要按耶稣的教导,祝福那些欺压我们的人,让他们也可以来认识神。相信我们听过很多见证,当我们愿意开口祝福这些人的时候,自己反而变得轻松,思绪马上得平安。此外,我们也当反映神的心意,关心那些处于困境中的弱势群体,分享我们的资源,帮助他们恢复基本生活和尊严。

2. 忠于神的得尊荣(V11-14)

巴比伦人非常迷信,特别尊崇术士与占卜的人。他们可能把耶利米看作灵媒,也可能把他当作一位有影响力的亲巴比伦派,所以尼布甲尼撒王下令释放耶利米、并且加以特别保护。其实这都是因为神眷爱耶利米而感动了尼布甲尼撒。也是神向耶利米实践祂的承诺和使他得尊荣。

沙番的孙子亚希甘的儿子基大利,被巴比伦立为管理犹大余民的省长。在24章的记载,他的父亲亚希甘之前就保护过耶利米。这是一个祖孙代代都敬畏神的家庭。因此也得着尊荣。

弟兄姐妹,能够服事神是神给我们的恩典和福分。因为神要让我们透过在地上的服事,累计天上的基业。也透过服事,把我们生命中的许多的刺给磨掉。让我们更像祂。我们要在小事上忠心,这样神才能托付更大的事给我们。所以,抓住每个忠心服事神的机会,忠心为主摆上不妥协。听从神的,神必使我们得尊荣、得保护。

3. 依靠神的得拯救(V15-18)

当耶利米还在护卫兵院中时,神要他去对以伯.米勒说话。以伯米勒(古实、外邦人)是西底家王宫中的一个太监。他冒险迎救了在井中陷在淤泥里的耶利米。神说当城被毁灭时,他却要得到拯救,因为他不怕权势信靠神走在正义的路上。

西底家王,是神的选民,因为怕人选择不听从神。以伯米勒,一个外邦人,却不怕人选择敬畏信靠神,走在正义的路上。弟兄姐妹,但愿从以伯米勒与西底家的结局,能给我们的生命带来提醒。

总结:珍惜机会

耶利米书有52章,今天来到39章。也许我们每天看会觉得每天讲来讲去都大同小异,很容易就掉入麻木不仁。很容易就将神要给我们的‘心愿石’顺手丢入海里,导致后悔莫及。

我们很多人的心中其实也有一个西底家王。我们知道神的心意、却没有力量顺服。总是相信自己的判断过于神的命令。甚至有时候会告诉自己,还有机会,下次再说吧。我们忘记了自己无法决定是否还有下一次的机会。在5785年里,求神赐我们恩典,当圣灵用微小的声音提醒我们时,让珍惜神赐的每一个悔改和顺服的机会。更要抓住每个服事神的机会。面对神的呼召和指引时,不能心存侥幸或固执己见,不要等到失去后才后悔莫及。让我们乘恩典之门仍敞开时,珍惜机会,赎回所失去的,尤其是顺服和信靠神的力量。

Introduction: Stone of Wishes

I. The Consequences of Unrepentance (v1-9)

1. Destruction and Exile (v1-3, 8-9) Despite God using Jeremiah for 40 years in various ways to call the people to repentance, they ignored His warnings and remained unrepentant. As a result, in the ninth year and tenth month of King Zedekiah’s reign (588 BC), Nebuchadnezzar attacked Jerusalem. Within 1.5 year, the city’s walls were penetrated.

This passage reminds us of God’s enduring patience, but it also highlights His justice and faithfulness. When both the people and the king refused to repent, God, who is righteous and faithful, carried out His promised judgment. I believe that even in judgment, God’s actions are out of love and mercy. He knew that if the people were left undisciplined, they would continue to corrupt themselves, leading to complete destruction. But if they submitted to discipline, their lives would be spared, and they would return in due time.

2. Prisoners in Misery (v4-7) In the previous chapter (Jeremiah 38), Jeremiah urged Zedekiah to surrender so that he and his family might live, and the city would not be burned. However, Zedekiah remained unrepentant, and when the city was breached, he fled at night, hoping to find refuge in Moab or Ammon. He was captured and subjected to cruel and harsh punishment by Nebuchadnezzar. His eyes were gouged out, and he was bound in bronze chains and taken to Babylon. The most tragic moment came when, before being blinded, he was forced to watch his trusted officials, nobles, and sons being killed. At that moment, he surely felt that death would be better than living.

Brothers and sisters, let us seize every opportunity for correction to align ourselves with God. When authorities and shepherds offer counsel, let us not ignore it but return to God. Even if we feel we are under God’s discipline, we should not be discouraged. As long as we turn to God, there is hope. We must not choose stubbornness and risk becoming prisoners, bound in misery and regret.

Moreover, the prophecy made 2600 years ago about the destruction of Jerusalem and the fate of the wicked and righteous was fulfilled in exact detail, just as God had spoken. God is the one who speaks and it is done. His words will always come to pass, whether blessings or curses. Our destiny, whether it be blessing or curse, is determined by the choices we make.

II. God’s Remembrance and Grace (v10-18)

1. The Oppressed Receive Inheritance (v10) On the surface, it seemed that Nebuzaradan, the captain of the guard, was trying to win the favor of the poor by giving them vineyards and fields. But in truth, it was the just and righteous God providing for the poor who had long been oppressed by their fellow countrymen. Finally, they had the opportunity to manage assets and gain inheritance.

In daily life, when faced with injustice or oppression, we must trust that the righteous God will vindicate us and grant us grace in His timing. As Jesus taught, we should bless those who oppress us, that they too may come to know God. There are many testimonies of people who found peace and relief when they chose to bless their oppressors. We must also reflect God’s heart by caring for the vulnerable and sharing our resources to help restore their basic necessities and dignities.

2. The Faithful Receive Honor (v11-14) The Babylonians were highly superstitious and revered sorcerers and diviners. They may have viewed Jeremiah as a medium or influential pro-Babylonian figure, prompting Nebuchadnezzar to order his release and special protection. However, this was due to God’s favor upon Jeremiah and His fulfillment of promises to honor him.

Gedaliah, the grandson of Shaphan, was appointed governor over the remnant in Judah by the Babylonians. His family had protected Jeremiah before, as recorded in chapter 24. This was a family that feared God, and they were honored because of it.

Brothers and sisters, serving God is a grace and blessing. Through our service, God shapes us, refining us to be more like Him, and lay up our treasures in heaven. Let us be faithful in the small things so that God can entrust us with greater things. Seize every opportunity to serve without compromise. Those who obey God will receive honor and protection.

3. Those Who Trust in God Are Delivered (v15-18) While Jeremiah was still confined, God instructed him to speak to Ebed-Melech, the Ethiopian eunuch who had rescued Jeremiah from the dungeon. God promised that during the destruction of the city, Ebed-Melech would be saved because he had trusted in God and walked in righteousness, unafraid of human power.

King Zedekiah, though one of God’s chosen people, feared man and disobeyed God. Ebed-Melech, a gentile, feared God and walked in righteousness. May their contrasting fates serve as a reminder for our lives.

Conclusion: Cherish the Opportunity There are 52 chapters in the book of Jeremiah, and today we arrive at chapter 39. It may seem repetitive, making it easy to become numb to the message. It’s easy to toss aside the “stone of wishes” that God wants to give us, only to regret it later.

Many of us have a “Zedekiah” in our hearts. We know God’s will but lack the strength to obey. We often trust our own judgment more than God’s commands and convince ourselves that there’s always another chance. We forget that we do not control whether another opportunity will come. In the year 5785, may God grant us the grace to treasure every opportunity to repent and obey when the Holy Spirit gently reminds us. Let us also seize every opportunity to serve God, without leaving it to luck or being stubborn, so we don’t regret it when it’s too late. While the door of grace is still open, let us redeem what was lost, especially the strength to trust and obey God.

引言:

耶利米的坚定信心,让我们看见了背后更大的属灵原则:忠心到底的人必将得着神的眷顾,纵然遭遇试炼与逼迫。

一、行真理带来对抗(V1-6)

耶利米向犹大人宣告神的审判。然而,领袖们不愿听从,反而指控耶利米说这番话是在动摇军心,打击犹大军队的士气。因此,被首领们视为背叛国家之人而被扔进牢狱。

许多时候,当我们选择站在真理的立场时,往往会引发来自四面八方的压力和反对。然而,神看重我们对祂话语的忠实,祂应许祂必与他们同在,赐他们力量面对艰难险境。

二、在绝望中神拯救(V7-13)

当太监以伯米勒(古实人)听见耶利米被困在水牢时,立即站出来向西底家王进言,最终成功救出了耶利米。从这里,我们看见当我们处在绝望的境地时,神总会在适当的时机兴起合适的人来拯救我们。以伯米勒的出现不仅是神怜悯的表现,也是提醒我们,神的救赎有时会通过意想不到的方式和人来到。

三、恐惧导致不顺服(V14-23)

西底家在绝望之中,因此再次转向先知,想要听到神的指示,但却害怕公开站在神的一边。恐惧使西底家无视神的应许,选择了依靠自己的判断,也付出了沉重的代价。我们看见,恐惧往往是顺服神的最大障碍,因恐惧我们可能做出错误的决定,远离神的旨意。

四、无法逃避神审判(V24-28)

神的审判是公义的,无论人如何试图躲避、隐瞒,最终都无法逃脱。西底家试图通过妥协和隐瞒来逃避审判,但最终却失去了神的保护。

然而,神的审判同时也是救赎的前奏。神通过审判洁净祂的百姓,为他们带来真正的拯救与恢复。因此,当我们面临审判或考验时,不要惧怕,因为神的审判最终是为我们的益处,帮助我们从错误中回转,进入祂的旨意与恩典。

总结: 忠心到底 必得赏赐

纵然耶利米身处极端的危险中,他并没有放弃神的托付,反而坚守信心,最终神通过以伯米勒拯救了他。耶利米的忠诚、以伯米勒的勇敢,以及西底家的失败都成为我们反省自己生活的镜子。无论环境多么艰难,我们都要选择忠于神,信靠祂的带领,因为最终,忠心到底的人必得着神的赏赐。

Introduction:

Jeremiah’s steadfast faith reveals a greater spiritual principle: those who remain faithful to the end will receive God’s favor, even when facing trials and persecution.

1. Standing for the truth brings opposition (V1-6)

Jeremiah proclaimed God’s judgment to the people of Judah. However, the leaders refused to listen and accused him of weakening the morale of the troops. As a result, they saw him as a traitor and threw him into prison.

Many times, when we choose to stand on the side of truth, we may face pressure and opposition from all sides. Yet, God values our faithfulness to His word and promises to be with us, giving us the strength to endure difficult circumstances.

2. God’s deliverance in times of despair (V7-13)

When Ebed-Melech (an Ethiopian eunuch) heard that Jeremiah was trapped in a dungeon, he immediately appealed to King Zedekiah and eventually succeeded in rescuing Jeremiah. Here, we see that even in our darkest moments, God raises up the right people to deliver us. Ebed-Melech’s intervention is not only a display of God’s mercy but also a reminder that God’s deliverance can come in unexpected ways and through unlikely individuals.

3. Fear leads to disobedience (V 14-23)

In his desperation, King Zedekiah sought out the prophet again, wanting to hear God’s guidance, but he was too afraid to publicly align himself with God. Fear caused Zedekiah to ignore God’s promises and rely on his own judgment, leading to great consequences. Fear is often the greatest obstacle to obedience, as it can drive us to make poor decisions and stray from God’s will.

4. God’s judgment is inevitable (V 24-28)

God’s judgment is just, and no matter how people try to avoid or conceal the truth, they cannot escape it. Zedekiah attempted to evade judgment through compromise and secrecy but ultimately lost God’s protection.

However, God’s judgment is also a precursor to redemption. Through judgment, God purifies His people and brings them true deliverance and restoration. Therefore, when we face judgment or trials, we should not fear, for God’s judgment ultimately works for our benefit, helping us turn from sins and enter His will and grace.

Conclusion: Faithfulness to the end will be rewarded

Although Jeremiah was in great danger, he did not abandon God’s mission. Instead, he remained faithful, and God delivered him through Ebed-Melech. Jeremiah’s loyalty, Ebed-Melech’s bravery, and Zedekiah’s failure serve as mirrors for us to reflect on our own lives. No matter how difficult the circumstances, we must choose to be faithful to God and trust in His guidance, for in the end, those who remain faithful will receive God’s reward.

引言:

今天,我们要从耶利米书37章,通过耶利米和西底家的对比,反思自己对神的态度。思考:你想要怎样的神?

一、西底家自欺欺人不悔改(V1-10,17)

犹大国的西底家王和百姓不肯听从神,但是在巴比伦人的围困之下走投无路,于是他派人去找先知耶利米,让耶利米在神的面前为犹大国代求,期望能够从神得到一些帮助。西底家一次次得到的是警告:如果不悔改,审判将临到。然而,西底家选择了忽视这些警告,他想从神那里得到好消息,却不愿意遵行神的命令。神劝戒他们,不要自欺,仇敌必不离开!

西底家其实已经有了自己想要的‘神的样子’:一个帮他解决巴比伦威胁的神!其他的都不想听!
西底家不想要一个让他回归正道、带领他悔改的神,而是渴望一个能够满足他期望、按他要求行动的神。这种错误的期待让他陷入了自欺的陷阱。

撒但虽然是最大的骗子,但如果我们不自欺,祂也不能欺骗我们!

二、耶利米忠心于神不妥协(V6-17)

耶利米在面对强大的压力时,始终忠于神的话语。他没有为了讨好人而改变神的信息,就算他被囚禁受苦。西底家王虽然曾多次向耶利米求问神的旨意,但耶利米从未妥协,他传讲的依然是神的真实信息:巴比伦人会回来,耶路撒冷必被攻陷。

我们是否被误会被毁谤?或是因为做了一件好事而惹祸上身?当周围的环境要求我们‘修改’真理的时候,是否还能像耶利米那样坚定忠心于神?今天耶利米为义受苦,不妥协地忠心传递神的话语,按照圣经的教导是有福的!彼前3:17神的旨意若是叫你们因行善受苦,总强如因行恶受苦。

三、神的怜悯与公义不改变(V18-21)

耶利米恳求不要将他关押在危险、缺乏的地方,并得到了西底家的回应,还供给他每日的食物。这体现了神对耶利米的怜悯,即便在困境中,神仍保守他。在审判即将临到的时刻,神仍有怜悯为忠心的仆人预备出路,但神的公义是绝不会因为人的不顺服而改变。

神的怜悯不是容忍罪恶的借口,而是给我们悔改和重新开始的机会。我们是否有时像西底家一样明知错了,却选择无视神的警告?神的公义提醒我们,选择顺服祂比眼前的安逸和短暂的逃避更重要。

总结:你想要怎样的神,就决定你怎样去跟随神!

从耶利米和西底家的对比中,我们看到了对神的不同态度将带来的不同命运。我们要问自己:我想要怎样的神? 是一个只提供帮助却不要求改变的神,还是一位既怜悯又公义、带领我们走向圣洁的神?愿我们每个人都能在神的怜悯中得着力量,在祂的公义中行走正道,做祂忠心的仆人。

Introduction:

Today, we want to reflect on our attitude towards God from Jeremiah 37, through the comparison between Jeremiah and Zedekiah. Reflect: What kind of God do you want?

1. Zedekiah – deceiving himself and others and not repenting (V1-10, 17)

King Zedekiah of Judah and his people refused to obey God but were cornered under the siege of the Babylonians. So he sent people to find the prophet Jeremiah, asking Jeremiah to intercede for Judah before God, hoping that Can get some help from God. Zedekiah was warned again and again that judgment would come if he did not repent. However, Zedekiah chose to ignore these warnings. He wanted good news from God but was unwilling to obey God’s commands. God warned them not to deceive themselves, the enemy would never leave!

Zedekiah already had the ‘god’ he wanted: a god who could help him deal with the Babylonian threat! He doesn’t want to hear anything else!
Zedekiah did not want a God who could bring him back to the right path and lead him to repentance, but he longed for a god who could meet his expectations and act according to his requirements. This false expectation led him into a trap of self-deception.

Although Satan is the biggest liar, he cannot deceive us if we do not deceive ourselves!

2. Jeremiah-loyal to God without compromise (V4-17)

Jeremiah remained faithful to the Word of God in the face of intense pressure. He did not change God’s message to please others, even while he was imprisoned and suffering. Although King Zedekiah asked Jeremiah many times for God’s will, Jeremiah never compromised. What he preached was still God’s true message: the Babylonians would return, and Jerusalem would be captured.

Have we been misunderstood or slandered? Or did you do a good deed and get into trouble? When the surrounding environment requires us to ‘revise’ the truth, can we remain steadfast and loyal to God like Jeremiah? Today, Jeremiah suffered for righteousness and faithfully delivered the word of God without compromise. 3. God’s mercy and justice never change (V18-21)

Jeremiah pleads not to be imprisoned in a place of danger and scarcity, and Zedekiah responds by providing him with daily provisions. This reflects God’s mercy toward Jeremiah, and God still protected him even in difficult circumstances. At the moment when judgment is about to come, God still has mercy and prepares a way out for his faithful servants, but God’s justice will never change because of man’s disobedience.

God’s mercy is not an excuse to tolerate sin, but it gives us the opportunity to repent and start over. Are we like Zedekiah sometimes choosing to ignore God’s warnings when we know we are wrong? God’s justice reminds us that choosing to obey Him is more important than immediate comfort and temporary escape.

Conclusion: The kind of God you want determines how you follow God!

From the contrast between Jeremiah and Zedekiah, we see the different destinies that different attitudes toward God will bring. We have to ask ourselves: What kind of God do I want? A God who only provides help but does not require change, or a God who is both merciful and just and leads us toward holiness? May each of us gain strength from God’s mercy, walk on the right path in His righteousness, and be His faithful servants.
