[耶稣是世界的光]

文士和法利赛人带着行淫时被拿的妇人来挑战耶稣，他们的目的不是伸张正义，而是设下圈套为了试探耶稣。耶稣没有否认罪的存在，而是照出隐藏在众人心里的‘假圣洁’ ，让他们放下‘定罪别人的石头’；并且对被拿的妇人说：从此不要再犯罪。
耶稣的光照出人心的虚伪，揭露人心中对他人的指控。但是耶稣的光照不是为了定罪，而是为了救赎，呼召我们活出圣洁！
1.跟从耶稣得生命的光（V12-20）
耶稣说：我是世界的光，跟从我的，就不在黑暗里走，必要得着生命的光。
2.拒绝之人要死在罪中（V21-30）
在这段经文中，耶稣三次强调：你们要死在你们的罪中。主耶稣要告诉犹太人的领袖们一个事实，也是告诉我们的事实：你们是罪人，是被定了死罪的罪人！
小结：耶稣是世界的光，祂照亮人心、显明真相、引导人生的方向。祂不要我们继续在黑暗中摸索，而是邀请我们‘跟从祂’，因为这是一条得生命之光的出路！这是耶稣慈爱的呼唤，也是一记严肃的警钟！
1.真理使人得自由（V31-32）
耶稣对‘信祂的犹太人’说，若常常遵守祂的道就认识真理，真理必叫人得以自由。
2. 指出奴仆的本质（V33-38）
他们以‘亚伯拉罕的后裔’自豪，耶稣却指出他们实际上是罪的奴仆。
3.属灵父亲的真相（V39-47）
耶稣说：你们是出于你们的父魔鬼！揭露了他们真实的属灵身份。
小结：耶稣是世界的光，祂不仅照亮我们的路，也照进我们的内心与属灵状态。祂要我们脱离表面的信仰、属灵的自欺、宗教的骄傲，进入真正的自由与属神儿女身份！
1. 人用敌意抗拒真理（V48）
犹太人无法反驳耶稣，就开始人身攻击，说祂是‘撒玛利亚人、被鬼附的’。这是拒绝真理的典型反应-扭曲、污蔑。
2. 耶稣承诺永生应许（V51）
耶稣面对侮辱，没有与人争吵，而是再次发出恩典的邀请。祂把话题拉回最重要的应许—永生。
3. 拒绝者的极端反应（V58-59）
犹太人拿石头要打耶稣，显明对真理的彻底拒绝。
小结：当光照出我们的刚硬，不是为了羞辱我们，而是为了打碎抵挡真理的硬壳，好让我们真实认识那位‘自有永有’的主！
耶稣就是世界的光！愿我们勇敢站在主的光中，让祂光照我们，使我们在光中活出自由喜乐的人生！成为光明之子！

Jesus is the light of the world

The scribes and Pharisees brought a woman caught in adultery to challenge Jesus. Their purpose was not to uphold justice, but to set a trap to test Jesus. Jesus did not deny the existence of sin but exposed the "false holiness" hidden in the hearts of the people, asking them to put down the "stone of condemnation"; and he said to the woman who was caught: From now on, do not sin again.
The light of Jesus reveals the hypocrisy of people's hearts and exposes the accusations against others in people's hearts. However, the light of Jesus is not for condemnation, but for salvation, calling us to live a holy life!
1. Follow Jesus and receive the light of life (V12-20)
Jesus said: I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness but have the light of life.
2. Those who refuse will die in their sins (V21-30)
In this passage, Jesus emphasized three times: You will die in your sins. The Lord Jesus wanted to tell the Jewish leaders a fact, which is also a fact for us: You are sinners, sinners sentenced to death!
Summary: Jesus is the light of the world. He illuminates people’s hearts, reveals the truth, and guides the direction of life. He does not want us to continue groping in the darkness but invites us to “follow Him” because this is a way to obtain the light of life! This is Jesus’ loving call, and also a serious wake-up call!
1. The truth sets people free (V31-32)
Jesus said to the Jews who believed in him that if they kept obeying his word, they would know the truth, and the truth would set people free.
2. Pointing out the nature of slavery (V33-38)
They were proud of being ‘descendants of Abraham’, but Jesus pointed out that they were actually slaves of sin.
3. The truth about spiritual fathers (V39-47)
Jesus said: You are from your father the devil! This reveals their true spiritual identity.
Jesus is the light of the world. He not only illuminates our path but also shines into our hearts and spiritual state. He wants us to break away from superficial faith, spiritual self-deception, and religious pride, and enter into true freedom and the identity of God's children!
1. People resist the truth with hostility (V48)
The Jews could not refute Jesus, so they began to attack Him personally, saying that He was a "Samaritan, possessed by a demon." This is a typical reaction to rejecting the truth - distortion and slander.
2. Jesus promises eternal life (V51)
Faced with insults, Jesus did not argue with others but instead extended an invitation of grace again. He brought the topic back to the most important promise—eternal life.
3. The extreme reaction of the rejecters (V58-59)
The Jews took up stones to stone Jesus, showing their complete rejection of the truth.
Summary: When the light reveals our hardness, it is not to humiliate us, but to break the hard shell that resists the truth, so that we can truly know the Eternal Lord!
Jesus is the light of the world! May we bravely stand in the light of the Lord, let Him illuminate us, and enable us to live a free and joyful life in the light! Become the sons of light!
