总结: 无论得胜或失败,都当立志每天尽心寻求爱我们的神;成为在得胜中警醒、在安逸中持续寻求神的智慧人!2 Chronicles 15:After Victory, Continue to Seek God!GK611 Morning Devotion 23 October 2025 Speaker: Ps Daniel Kew I. After Victory, Be Watchful and Continue Seeking God (V1–7) 1. God Actively Reminds Us Not to Relax (V1–2) After King Asa’s victory through relying on God, the Lord immediately moved the prophet to remind him: the real danger is not in defeat, but in the complacency that follows success. When everything seems to be going well, we must be even more alert — to keep drawing near to God and to maintain a steady devotional life — lest success pull us away from Him. 2. Those Who Do Not Seek the True God Fall into Chaos (V3–6) The prophet reminded Asa that Israel once fell into turmoil and unrest because they did not seek the true God. Today, though we live in an age of abundant information and advanced technology, many still feel lost and lonely. Only when we return before God will our lives have direction; otherwise, all our busyness and achievements will end up meaningless. 3. Those Who Firmly Seek God Will Be Rewarded (V7) The prophet encouraged, “Be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.” God knows that the journey of faith is not easy, but He promises that when we steadfastly seek Him, we will experience His presence and His reward. II. After Victory, Take Action to Seek God (V8–15) 1. Seeking Means Acting Upon What We Hear (V8–10) When Asa heard the prophet’s message, he immediately acted: he removed idols, repaired the altar, and gathered the people to return to God with one heart. We too must promptly remove idols from our hearts and rekindle our passion for prayer, worship, and reading God’s Word. 2. Worship Is the Continuation of Seeking (V11–15) The people offered sacrifices, made a covenant, and worshiped God. Then God revealed Himself to them and granted peace on every side. Their “seeking” turned into “worship”! If we desire renewal in our church, our family, and our lives, it must begin with heartfelt worship. Seeking leads to worship, worship brings God’s presence, and His presence brings revival! III. After Victory, Continue Seeking God (V16–19) 1. Never Compromise Your Faith Convictions (V16–18) For the sake of faith, Asa removed his grandmother, the queen mother, from her position because she had made an idol. He destroyed her idol — choosing to offend family rather than offend God. Those who truly seek God will not allow relationships or personal gain to replace Him. Tearing down idols is a public declaration: “I belong to the LORD!” 2. Continuous Seeking Brings Continuous Peace (V19) “From then on until the thirty-fifth year of Asa’s reign, there was no more war.” This was God’s faithful reward, fulfilling His promise: “If you seek Him, you will find Him.” When we continue seeking God, the order of our lives becomes right, our hearts find rest — relationships become simpler, life gains direction, and peace replaces anxiety. Ongoing peace is the gracious response of God to those who sincerely and persistently seek Him. Conclusion: Whether in victory or in defeat, let us determine to seek the God who loves us with all our heart every day. Be a wise person — one who stays alert in success and keeps seeking God even in times of ease!
