Esther 7: The Turning PointGK611 Morning Devotion Speaker: Ps Stella Ling 22.01.2026 Introduction:God has never been absent; He simply brings about the turning point in His own time, revealing it before human eyes. I. The God-Appointed Time Has Arrived (Esther 7:1–2) The second banquet may appear repetitive, but in reality it was God’s meticulous arrangement. All the key figures were present, and the timing, setting, and atmosphere were fully prepared. At the first banquet, Esther was not without an opportunity to speak; she chose to wait. She understood that while saying the right words matters, saying them at the right time matters even more. God prepares not only the circumstances but also human hearts. After the sleepless night described in chapter six, the king’s attitude had already been adjusted by God. This reminds us that waiting is not passive but an act of trust. God’s timetable is never late. II. The Hidden Truth Is Revealed (Esther 7:3–4) Esther finally disclosed her identity and explained the crisis facing her people. Her previous concealment was not avoidance but waiting; her present openness was not impulsiveness but obedience. She did not begin by accusing a person, but by pointing out that this was a matter of life and justice. She was pleading for her people, not defending herself. Therefore, when God’s appointed moment arrives, the truth must be spoken. Breakthrough often begins with honesty. III. The Identity of the Wicked Is Exposed (Esther 7:5–6) The king asked, “Who is he?”—a question of responsibility and justice. Esther courageously identified him: “The adversary and enemy is this vile Haman.” This was not an emotional accusation, but a clear naming of evil. If justice is to prevail, it cannot be vague. This reveals that God’s turning point often begins with clearly discerning the true enemy. IV. God Personally Intervenes (Esther 7:7–8) The situation suddenly became chaotic: the king left in anger, and Haman was seized with terror. From a human perspective, it seemed like a series of coincidences; from God’s perspective, it was precise intervention. Thus, when God acts, He does not always bring immediate calm; sometimes He accelerates the exposure of truth. When God is in control, all human attempts at damage control become unnecessary. V. The Outcome Is Completely Reversed (Esther 7:9–10) The gallows Haman had prepared for Mordecai became his own end. The wicked fell into the very scheme they had devised. God’s justice was swift and thorough. This was not human revenge, but God vindicating His people. This reminds us that God remembers everything and governs the final outcome. Conclusion: Standing in God’s Moment of Reversal Esther’s victory did not lie in a single courageous speech, but in her consistent alignment with God’s timetable. Perhaps you—or we—are still waiting, enduring, being misunderstood, or seeing no visible results. Yet remember—God is still seated on the throne. The moment of reversal will surely come, in His appointed time and in His appointed way. May we learn, in God’s moment of reversal, to wait quietly and to trust steadfastly.
